COURTNEY CHAFFEE, MSW, LCSW

Courtney is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. Courtney earned a Master’s degree with a concentration in Child Welfare and Families from Indiana University School of Social Work.
For more than a decade, Courtney has been providing therapy services to individuals and families affected by serious and chronic mental illnesses such as depression, anxiety, and trauma.
Courtney has extensive training and experience working with therapeutic models including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Strengths-Based Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy. Courtney also has specialized training in the areas of behavior modification and vocational advising. Courtney especially enjoys working with teenagers and adults that have been affected by trauma.
Courtney believes that people are resilient and capable and therefore the focus of her work is to empower people to realize their potential so that they can live fulfilling lives and maintain healthy relationships. Courtney provides a safe therapeutic environment for healing, growth, and change. Courtney also enjoys using LUV: Listening, Understanding, and Validating.
Courtney has transitioned from Oaktree Guidance & Wellness Center to its new extension, the Family Guidance Center, where she will continue and expand her work with families and specializing in in co-parenting support, divorce and separation counseling, and family therapy, helping families move through change with intention, understanding, and support.
Courtney completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and a Master’s Degree in Social Work. Courtney is also a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Indiana. Currently, Courtney works as a Psychotherapist at Oaktree Guidance & Wellness Center and a Behavior Consultant for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
