Courtney Chaffee is a therapist with Oaktree Guidance and Wellness Center. She is licensed in social work and holds an educational background and extensive training in psychology.  Courtney has been providing therapeutic services for twelve years to adults and children affected by serious and chronic mental illnesses such as depression, anxiety, and trauma.  She is experienced in providing strength-based therapy services that assist individuals and families with developing a variety of independent life skills that lead to self-sufficiency.  


Courtney believes that encouragement and belonging are essential pieces in the therapeutic process and therefore she works from models that include a motivational and solution-focused approach.  She is also trained in areas such as behavior modification, vocational advising, and cognitive behavioral therapy.  Courtney especially enjoys working with young adults, individuals, couples, and families who are affected by mental illness as well as children with behavioral or anger management needs. 


Courtney’s primary focus and belief is that everyone deserves to feel capable, worthy, and confident.  She is passionate about guiding and joining others along their journey of discovery, growth, and change by providing a safe environment through using encouragement, motivation, understanding, support, and advocacy.  

Courtney Chaffee completed her Master's in Social Work at Indiana University School of Social Work in 2011. Courtney is also Licensed in Indiana as a Clinical Social Worker. Courtney has worked for major mental health facilities in Fort Wayne, Indiana, and presently serves as a consultant who specializes in Behavior Management services to individuals with developmental disabilities.
