EMILY LIECHTY, LCSW

Emily-1.png

Emily’s practice is geared toward uplifting people who feel downtrodden, anxious, and as though they do not belong.  She is particularly passionate about walking beside people as they process anxiety and trauma related to religious identity loss, transition, or deconstruction.  While she treats all genders, she finds great joy in empowering women to find wholeness and healing.

Emily’s therapeutic mantra is salus in arduis, or refuge in difficult times.  She aims to provide a space where people can heal and grow without judgement.  When you meet with Emily, expect a therapist who will walk beside you and empower you to reach your goals, clarify your values, and find your footing.

Emily holds a Master of Social Work from the University of Southern California and is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker.  She has a background in community mental health and enjoys taking a strength-based approach to therapy.  Emily primarily uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and mindfulness techniques during sessions but often brings in other perspectives to fit the situation.  She is a lifelong learner and incorporates what she has learned into her practice. In her free time, Emily can be found with her nose in a book, experimenting in the garden, or planning the next adventure.
