MACKENZIE HATHEWAY, LMHCA
Mackenzie completed her masters in Mental Health Counseling and Rehabilitation Counseling at Ball State University. She works with adults and adolescents with varying concerns and life challenges. She has experience working with individuals on the autism spectrum, the veteran population, individuals struggling with eating disorders, and so on. Mackenzie specializes in an array of issues such as depression, anxiety, eating disorders, relationship concerns, and trauma.
Mackenzie utilizes a holistic approach that emphasizes individual needs for each client. Her modalities are person-centered with an emphasis on self-compassion. She works with clients by focusing on core beliefs and self-esteem. Mackenzie has a strong belief that each client is an expert of their own life, she only hopes to increase well-being by highlighting each client’s individual strengths.
Mackenzie utilizes several therapeutic modalities in her practice including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). She is dedicated to being a nonjudgmental space that allows individuals to be vulnerable and feel heard.
