KARA GUIDINGER, LMHCA & LCACA

Kara holds to the belief that the counseling experience is one built on trust and
safety. She emphasizes the importance of the client and counselor partnership,
believing that the most effective counseling is a collaborative and dynamic
experience centered around client empowerment. She considers it an honor to be
a part of each client’s individual journey.
Kara holds a Master’s degree from Purdue University Fort Wayne. She is certified
as both a Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate and a Licensed Clinical
Addictions Counselor Associate. She is trained in EMDR and endorsed in
Motivational Interviewing.
Kara sees clients of all ages and specializes in working with trauma, addictions,
depression, anxiety, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and ADHD. She utilizes a Person-
Centered approach, incorporating Acceptance Commitment Therapy, mindfulness,
somatic work, Cognitive-Behavioral techniques, inner child work, and EMDR.

In her free time, Kara enjoys spending time with her family, going on adventures or
hiking a new national park, training for a race, and cheering on the Indianapolis
Colts.
